FERPA Compliance
FERPA Compliance Statement
GSW Education Partners operates as a "school official" under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) when school districts disclose student education records to us for service delivery. We are bound by FERPA's requirements regarding use and re-disclosure of student records.
When we receive student education records from our district partners:
- We use student data only for the specific purposes described in our service agreement
- We do not re-disclose student records to any unauthorized third parties
- We never sell, use for advertising, or monetize student data in any way
- We maintain reasonable security measures to protect student records
- We return or securely destroy student records upon contract completion
- We support districts in responding to parent and eligible student FERPA requests
Districts retain ownership and control of all student education records. Our access is strictly limited to what is necessary to perform contracted services. Any broader use requires explicit written permission from the district.
COPPA Compliance
COPPA Compliance Statement
Our services are contracted through school districts and educational agencies, not directly with children. Our website and direct data collection practices comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Regarding children under 13:
- Our website does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
- We do not direct our website or direct marketing to children under 13
- When districts contract for student-facing programs, all data collection occurs through district-controlled channels with appropriate parental consent frameworks
- If we learn we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13 through our website, we will delete it promptly
If you believe your child has provided us with personal information without appropriate consent, contact us immediately at privacy@gsweducationpartners.com.
